News and updates from Dignity Housing.
Greetings From Dignity Housing!
Sincere thanks to everyone who attended our Lifetime Achievement Celebration for Alicia Christian.  Alicia will be missed, but her work carries on as the Dignity Housing community continues to grow and thrive.

Back to School

Each year, Back to School Night is a great opportunity for staff and parents to discuss the resources that are available to homeless families in the School District of Philadelphia.  It's also a chance for children to get excited about a new school year.  Children who participate in our After School Program joined their parents and youth program staff at the Dignity II building.
Families learned about what they can expect from the upcoming year of fun and engaging After School Program activities, and children received back packs filled with school supplies that were generously donated by Executive Director, Beverly Roberts’ Girlfriends' Club.  Those families currently living in scattered site housing dropped by the main office for Back to School Night and received back packs from the United Way’s Stuff the Bus Campaign.
Welcome, Innocent Turner
We are pleased to announce a new addition to our team:  Innocent Turner.  Innocent is a recent graduate of Ursinus College.  She takes on the Program Assistant role: supporting case managers, organizing events, and assisting with the youth in our After School Program.  Innocent brings a wealth of prior knowledge to her new role both as a former Dignity summer college intern and as a former tenant.  We are excited and proud to welcome her back as a member of our staff!
