Coldest Night of the Year brings added warmth to agencies! 
As part of a nation-wide Coldest Night of the Year walk, over 400 volunteers raised $125,000 for Feed the Hungry and KAIROS Calgary's fundraising initiative for Acadia Place.  Click HERE to read blog.

Count shows rise in homelessness slowed despite population growth

On January 15, 3,533 people were counted as homeless, compared with 3,190 people in January 2012, 3,576 people in August 2012 and 3,601 people in 2008. Before the 10 Year Plan, the number rose 35% every two years. Read more HERE.

Data from shelter indicates most users stay less than two weeks 

Data from the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre (The DI) shows that 84% of emergency shelter users stayed less than two weeks and had less than two episodes of homelessness in the four-year period. Read more HERE.

New Beltline project kicks off with art event open house

We’re just weeks away from beginning work on our new Beltline project in partnership with Cedarglen Living, the RESOLVE campaign and the Government of Alberta.
