The Miracle of ... Circus!
It's been three years (or four, but who's counting really?) since last YIHS put on a circus show, but the circus has come back, like the Jedi or the tides or the holiday season itself. Yes, YIHS will be putting on a circus show with a holiday-solstice theme. Featuring many up-and-coming superstars, the show will have stiltwalkers, unicyclers, jugglers, clowns, and acrobats. Whoopee for the whole family!!!

Thursday December 22nd 6pm-730pm
Landmark Center Bigtop Auditorium
$5/Adults, $2/Child, $10/family

ALSO PERFORMING!!! The Youth Initiative Jam Band, under the direction of Ben McDonald and Tom Gullion, will perform with special guest performances by the YIHS Choir, under the direction of Dodie Whitaker.

The Classic Holiday Desert - Apple Pie...
...makes the perfect potluck presentation for holiday parties.  These pies are 100% organic, can be frozen for months, and taste fantastic: what could be better?
Pies will be for sale at Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School after 3PM on Friday, December 16!
$15.00 ~ also available by calling Jenny Cain at 608-606-0572.

Annoying toys needed for robotics class
Next month YIHS will offer an elective block on robotics and we are asking (begging?) for a few noise-making electronic toys. Those plastic presents from beloved Aunt Bezelda which make really annoying sounds would be perfect. We're only interested in the internal electronics. If the original features (motors or plastic bits) are broken, we can still use them. Also, we could use four Remote Controlled cars. Small and cheap are ideal. We only need the cars, not the controllers (the extra box with joysticks or steering wheel and an antenna). Note that these won't be returned. They will be ruthlessly hacked and repurposed for (mostly) educational purposes.

Administrative Group Meeting date change
Please note that beginning Monday, December 12, the Administrative Group will be meeting every Monday after school.

Our 12:50 period on Friday, 12/16 will be a Study Hall/Independent Study proposal review for the Blocks beginning after the break.
