Wednesday-Fictional character/YIHS teacher 🧙♂️👮🦸♀️🤴

Seeking 9th Grade Class Parent
We're looking for a 9th-grade class parent. If you might be interested in volunteering or want to know more information, please contact Matt.
On November 1st we will have a festival day to honor our ancestors. We've celebrated this time of the year--the confluence of Halloween, Day of the Dead, Samhain---for several years and every time we collectively create a reverent and creative day. After a much-subdued event last year, the Faculty is hoping to bring back the full experience. There will be no regular classes and we are organizing workshops and activities. If you are interested in helping out contact Shawn@yihs.net or you can fill out this online form: Ancestor Day sign up.
The Circus Is Coming to Town
The YIHS circus class will be putting on a double-header of a show on Friday, November 5th: 4pm and 7pm. The show is good for all ages and free-will donations will be collected. There will be concessions for sale.
If you are interested in helping set up and/or clean the space please reach out to Shawn, email@example.com
If you have experience with light and sound, we would love your help with the upcoming circus class performance on November 5th. If you have portable lighting or know where I could find some, let me know. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Carpooling: Everybody Wins
Do you drive to Madison from time to time? If so, would you consider helping transport a boarding student occasionally? We are creating a list of people willing to give a ride to a student when the need arises. There is no commitment involved, but if you would be open to being asked, please let Bean know at email@example.com
Very Important Updates in the Coronavirus Cupboard
COVID is a real thing that requires our attention - but we're not going to let it define us. So we're moving our COVID information and updates out of the headlines and onto the back pages where they belong. Each week, you'll be able to click here to view COVID news and updates that impact the YIHS school experience. Look inside the Coronavirus Cupboard
Poem of the Week
Requiescat by Oscar Wilde
Tread lightly, she is near
Under the snow,
Speak gently, she can hear
The daisies grow.
All her bright golden hair
Tarnished with rust,
She that was young and fair
Fallen to dust.
Lily-like, white as snow,
She hardly knew
She was a woman, so
Sweetly she grew.
Coffin-board, heavy stone,
Lie on her breast,
I vex my heart alone
She is at rest.
Peace, Peace, she cannot hear
Lyre or sonnet,
All my life’s buried here,
Heap earth upon it.
for getting our Circus show ready to go
