As players make the annual journey to Williamsport, PA for the Little League World Series, ESPN is bringing top-of-the-line technologies used on Sunday Night Baseball, such as 4DReplay and 1080p, and new creations, such as the Kidscast second-screen experience.

Every year at the Little League World Series, an overwhelming power hitter electrifies the viewing audience. This year, it’s Mid-Atlantic’s Yadi Mateo, a 5-ft.-11 231-lb. player from Elizabeth, NJ. Whether players can clear the 225-ft. walls of Lamade or Volunteer Stadium or can’t, representatives of all 16 Little League teams joined the virtual world to hit dingers during the second consecutive Home Run Derby VR Little League Challenge.

The Little League World Series brings out the inner kid in all of us, and, when ESPN hits the hills of Williamsport, PA, the production always has something new to offer. Besides the company's first tournament in 1080p, other innovations are joining the fun, including 4DReplay and UmpCam. ESL is among the early esports pioneers, having launched nearly two decades ago and now ranked as the largest esports company in the world. After a brand refresh this year, the organization has seen significant growth across multiple metrics for major ESL tournaments. In the first seven months of this year, average minute audience (+90%), hours watched (+190%), and video views (+55%) increased significantly as a result of fans’ tuning into ESL One, Intel Extreme Masters, and ESL Pro League tournaments, shattering the numbers recorded in 2018.
