Food Allergy Awareness Week
This year we’re bringing Food Allergy Awareness to selected schools in our local regional communities. Our hard working and widespread national volunteers will be approaching schools in their local communities to co-ordinate fun and engaging ways to raise allergy awareness in your local school environments. So please put your hand up to help during Food Allergy Awareness Week when your local school announces its participation and support for raising allergy awareness with Allergy New Zealand.

Allergy Today Autumn Issue

Our Autumn issue is out soon. Dr Robert Winkler writes about Oral Food Challenges, Dana Alexander describes Coeliac Disease, and our Allergy Advisor, Penny Jorgensen, writes about Staying safe in hospital (with food allergy). Author Jackie Nevard describes her experience of dealing with her son’s anaphylactic reaction, and Delwyn Robinson reports on hosting an international student with food allergy.  Regular contributors, the Asthma & Respiratory Foundation gives advice on preparing for winter asthma and allergies, and the Malaghan Institute reports on it’s breakthrough in asthma research. A yummy recipe from Alana Scott, café review by Anna Schmidt, News and Views including research updates, and so much more.
