AGM 2010 Announcements

Magnum Photos recently held its 63rd Annual General Meeting in New York; an opportunity for the agency's shareholder photographers to meet, discuss, vote on vital aspects of the business and invite new photographers to join.

Commissioned by international charity WaterAid in 2008, Arthur travelled to two regions in East Africa to document the positive changes brought about by the much needed installion of water and sanitation facilities, the basic human rights required to take their first steps out of poverty.

A collection of images capturing first impressions of life in some of the world’s most fascinating and populated cities. Favouring a spontaneous and instinctual approach and shooting pictures on the move, Depardon's images preserve his first impressions of these dynamic and evolving cities.

Fine Photographs

New large format Platinum prints by Elliott Erwitt

Elliott Erwitt will launch a brand new, limited series of Platinum prints at both the ArtHamptons International Fine Art Fair, New York and Les Rencontres d’Arles photography festival, France. The 30"x40" fine photographs feature four of Erwitt's most iconic images including "USA, California" (pictured) and 'Felix, Gladys & Rover' and are available in limited editions of 12.

New Magnum In Motion

World Cup 2010

The world is in a state of football fever; England's disallowed goal, Argentina's offside goal and Ghana's triumph as the first African nation in the semi-finals. Magnum photographers have a long history of documenting football across the globe; from grass roots to premiership league. This new essay presents a selection of these images to celebrate our host nation, South Africa, including new work by Chris Steele-Perkins in Ghana (pictured).
