By Andrew Corley, CEO and President of Prison Fellowship International

This time last year, I shared our corporate and individual guiding principles—our five core values. As the new year begins, it’s always good to look back at how far we have come, how we held to these values, and to think about what we are trying to achieve in the coming 12 months.

It is also important to understand what management consultant, educator, and author Peter Drucker says: “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” This mirrors what I have learned in my years of creating businesses and in helping nonprofit organisations. The strategy is what we do. The culture is how we do what we do and what behaviours we applaud and employ.

Click to read why this is worth taking the time to think about, and how we can use core values as a thought-mapping aid.
