Son Skate Stellenbosch, September 2010!

Stay updated on the South African skate ministry scene!

Philippians 4:19 "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

Opening of Sports Unlimited Park in Tokia

A brand new park was opened inside the Sports Unlimited Shop in Tokia this month. We just went there to support, skate, hang out with the guys and represent SonSkate. It was a good event with some great skating.

Stellenbosch Hospital Visit

We went to the hospital in Stellenbosch just to hand out a few balloons and flowers to spread some love and to show that someone out there still cares about the patients and staff in our local care center.  There were a lot of patients going through tough times and a little joy and love is all they needed.

Hard Work

There has also been a lot of physical work this past month, getting the park fixed up. Fixing ramps and filling holes in the floor all to get the park in top shape for upcoming events. In October we have the African Vacation Pro tour visiting our park and we also have the annual Vertically Insane Comp coming up. This will both be big events and we are looking forward to see you all there.

Street Cred Comp

The Street Cred Comp was a street culture event in Cape Town central. We went there to represent SonSkate. Quinton, one of the SonSkate Riders, competed in the event.

Inspired 2 Become

Fanie van der Merwe and I were invited to attend a fundraising event called My Inspiration, hosted by Elana Meyer's NPO called JAG. This was a great opportunity for Inspired 2 Become to be recognised and to connect with people from different organizations. In above photo is Fanie van der Merwe with a friend, Alexi Potgieter and myself with my girlfriend, Jami Smit.

Prayer requests:
-New venue for the park
-Starting process of Inspired 2 Become
-Thanks to everyone who supports us, may God bless you
