Inspired2Become - youth reaching their full potential

What we do every month to get the youth inspired!

Alternative action sports
-New Clubs- The year 2012 kicked off with a bang. We have 7 skate clubs with about 10-20 kids in each club. added 2 new skate clubs for the year:
I2B Belhar

I2B Somerset West

-The Big move....still moving- We need to move 2 more ramps while in the new warehouse we are finishing one ramp at a time, when I can find time. Can't wait for the bowl to be done.

-Equipment- Clinton got a second hand deck and Grant brand new wheels. Grant is also one of the kids that has shown great progression in 2011. He has a lot of talent and the older guys will have to watch out for this up and comer!

-Ultimate X- I2B represented at the annual Ultimate X in Cape Town where the top action sport athletes in the country come together to battle and the public stream to the Waterfront to see it happening live.

-Strand skimming- We are getting new kids from time to time that tries out the skimboarding on the beach. Our biggest challenge is just to get these kids to commit to the club weekly. Thanks to Stefan Kruger for helping at the I2B Strand club. Stefan really has a servant's heart and and a passion for the ocean and people.

Athletics for youth with disabilities

-200 Days to Paralympics- The event was held at Simon's Town Naval Base, all the OPEX (Operation Excellence) athletes got invited and  the UK Navy received us on their Battle Ship. They wished us all the best for the preparations for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

-Athletics Season kicking off with a bang- The athletes who ran in the combined race at the Yellow Pages event in Germiston! A lot of Personal Bests for the Athletes but also a few World Record times: Fanie with 11.52s on the 100m, Arnu Fourie and his team mates in the relay with a time of 42.50s, the previous week Dyan Buis jumped 6.57m in the Long Jump!
