I2B and CSA updates

What we've been doing to inspire the youth....

Alternative action sports by Chris
-New school shoes- Kwanele from I2B Strand skate club gets shoes from I2B to go back to school.

Thanks Brighton from Shofar church for helping to take him back to school.

-I2B built a six meter rail for the I2B Kleinvlei skate club.

-The Christian Surfers/Skaters National Conference 2015 called Legacy- We took the leaders from all the I2B clubs to a weekend away in Jongensfontein. It was an awesome time to connect with other people who love Jesus and who also skate, blade, skim or surf. We made I2B and CS shirts for each club leader for this trip.

The Jongensfontein campsite is really beautiful and right on the beach.

The Sunday morning we started the day with a sunrise church session.

I was so stoked that Reagan, the I2B Bonteheuwel club leader, decided to get baptized.

-Unashamedly Ethical- The SRC of Stellenbosch University together with Unashamedly Ethical hosted a panel discussion on ethics in leadership which I formed part of.

CSA - Christian Skaters Africa by Chris

The reason why CSA is getting a section in this newsletter from now on is because at the recent National Conference Bradley Jones handed the baton of Christian Skaters Africa over to myself. Bradley and I both prayed about it and experienced God's guidance in this direction before even talking to each other about it.

Bradley served the skate community for the past 16 years and we just want to honor him for his commitment to God's Kingdom and his passion for Jesus. Thanks Brad for also imparting so much into my life. May God bless you, your wife and two kids and your exciting road ahead. Bradley has now become full time pastor at the JBay Baptist Church.

The vision of CSA and I2B is at its core exactly the same, to make disciples who make disciples. Many CS chapters or clubs already exist in Africa. My role as director of Christian Skaters Africa will be focused around networking and encouraging other CS leaders and also facilitating the start of new clubs in South Africa and the rest of the continent. -The blade and skate comp at National Conference- We took some mobile ramps from the I2B skate park in Somerset West and added it to the small skate park in Still Bay/Jongensfontein. Thanks to CS Paarl and CS Brits for joining. What a great time. Hope to see you all next year!
