Welcome to our May Newsletter from the Incognito Dance family.

INCOGNITO LATEST NEWS

Thank you to everyone who joined us on our latest parties and courses through March and April. Its all gone mad  this April, with loads happening all over the place for the Incognito Dance Family. 

Thank you also to everyone who came to a very emotional last ever Monday night at Fiesta Havana on 1st April.  It was great to see so many old and new faces.  On a happier point, the opening night at the brand new Fulham Salsa Club - Kona Kai was excellent, lovely to see so many turn out to give our new club a positive blessing. We look forward to many happy years of classes and social dancing. Remember we have FREE social dancing ALL night after the classes.  If you fancy brushing up on skills or just a loads of free dancing.... this is the place for you. 

If thats not enough, we also have a brand new night starting in Wycombe on 18th April at the Wycombe Liberal Salsa Club every Thursday. Join us for our Opening Night Party 18th April - 10% Discount on all courses and FREE SOCIAL DANCING THROUGHOUT APRIL. 

The latest shows by Incognito Dance Performance Group are well into their tour, the fabulous ladies have already performed at many of London's top venues, with more dates to follow, see the link below to catch more of them.  Also look out for the Incognito Performance Team at the Berlin Congress 2013, as they enter the World Open Group Championships. The team was choreographed by the amazing Jennifer Benavidez, and we wish them luck as they prepare for competition.

We have now started auditions for the next 12 week performance course by Miriam Oppel, starting in September 2013. See details below.  

Whether you are an absolute beginner or a hard core SalsaGeek, there is something here for you.  Dancing is an excellent way to stay fit and healthy whilst learning a life changing skill, also a great natural way to meet new friends or partners.   Beginners are always warmly welcomed and encouraged to enjoy dance. Experienced dancers are given fun, technically challenging classes, and plenty of hours to social dance to the latest Latin music by our famous and award winning DJ's.

18th April OPENING NIGHT -  WYCOMBE SALSA CLUB
WYCOMBE LIBERAL SALSA CLUB - EVERY THURSDAY AFTER. 
Due to popular demand we are starting salsa classes, courses and allowing FREE social dancing in Wycombe Salsa Club.  This fabulous club with a great sound system, terrace balcony and fantastic sprung floor, perfect for dancing,  will be the new home for Incognito on Thursdays. During April we are offering 10% discount off ALL Courses for everyone, and FREE social dancing for everyone after the classes during April. Hammersmith Salsa Club (Voted by BBC ONfm as West London favourite Salsa Club)
We still have loads happening in April, before May even starts.  Look out for guest spots by Neil Stocking (17th / 24th April & 1st May), Eva Marunova (24th April), shows by Pexava on 17th April and Angelic Sinclaire Group in 15th May much more.  Also look out for Queenies' Royal  Birthday Party on 1st May. Queenie (aka Alison Roberts) will be celebrating her 21st birthday (again), we have loads of surprises in store, dont miss it as "she may not be amused".   Dont miss your chance to catch  Eva Marunova at her 3 hour Styling / Spinning Course for intermediate and advanced ladies, on the same day as the 3 hour Beginners/Improvers Workshop 11th May..  Thank you to  Paso Dorado, Laith Sami Group  and Jennifer Benivadez for their shows and classes last month.  Hammersmith Salsa Club is a fun and friendly club, with challenging classes and loads of social dancing, a great midweek treat for everyone.   If you have not been to this club yet, come down and see what all the fuss is about. Our Wednesday nights are now averaging 130+ dancers.   So why not join our  regular line up of Jeff, Emrah, Alison, Agi, Shenel, Saori, Corina, Keoni, Rasa and Peter. 

Loudwater Salsa Club - (Voted by Bucks Free Press readers as "Buck's Top Latin Dance Night 2012")   I have run out of words to describe how amazing this club is. Every month just gets better and better.   It has it all.... vibe, passion, perfect floor, awesome music, fantastic dancers, fun and friendly people, and so on and so on.  I challenge anyone to come and not enjoy the experience.   The last Saturday night party in particular was just crazy, with over 250 dancers, dancing hard for 6 hours  till 2am... many thanks to Trevor & Heidi, Shelley and Gil - Pexava, Basil and Melissa - Dance2salsa, DJ Tuli, Keoni, Alison and all the lovely dancers that made it magical.  Get ready for more of the same in May.   Look out for our  Bank Holiday Special with our new Heroes and Villians Party as well as many guest DJ's and teachers across the month, check website for details.  We hugely appreciate all the dancers who come from as faraway as Oxford, Reading, Bristol, Brighton, Birmingham and Wales, thank you for your support.  IDC teachers: Saori, Jeff, Kerry, Keoni, Tuli and Alison. 



Fulham Salsa Club - Kona Kai
We have moved our Fulham night to TUESDAYS AT KONA KAI BAR    click on the link for full details.
We will be providing 2 hours classes at all levels followed by FREE social dancing till midnight. If you fancy brushing up on skills or just a loads of free dancing.... this is the place for you. Due to Fiesta Havana being sold, we have moved our long established mid week Fulham salsa classes to Kona Kai Bar. The club is only 1 min walk  from Fulham Broadway, and directly opposite Chelsea Football Club. It has a great floor and sound system, so perfect if you want to boost your dancing skills with fun, but technically challenging classes. Always FREE entry for those who want to social dance after classes to the latest Salsa beats from DJ Incognito. We will be providing Bachata classes on the first Tuesday of each month.    Incognito Advanced Ladies Performance Group On Tour  - April

    The Incognito Dance Performance course is a 12 week course resulting in a brand new show,  choreographed by the  amazing international star JENNIFER BENAVIDEZ as part of the Incognito Dance Company.    All the ladies have been working hard and are very excited to be performing at their favourite local clubs.  This brand new choreography comprises of the latest styles of Salsa, Mambo, Charanga & Pachanga, and has been  put together with some of the sexiest moves, costumes and styling this side of the Atlantic.

Details:

Incognito Dance are putting together a Student Performance Team. Choreographed by the world famous MIRIAM OPPEL, one of the most sought after megastars of the Salsa/Latin world. Miriam has performed and taught at over 80 worldwide congresses, appeared on dozens of TV Shows/Films around the world.  Miriam is working with us to put together the toughest performance course yet.

This is a fantastic chance for intermediate/advanced ladies looking to take their Salsa and performance skills to a whole new level. The course will be very very tough. We are only looking for 12 ladies to join this group. It will be very intense and definitely not for the faint hearted. The course includes performances at many of London’s famous salsa clubs. Auditions are held during May and June, with rehearsals in air conditioned mirrored studios in the Fulham Dance Attic on Sunday 1-3pm.

As part of the course you will have a chance to  perform at some of the best clubs in and around London, on average each lady performs at 8 shows in a short period.

  Course Details:  We are offering three hours of expert salsa tuition in a single day because that's just enough to lay the foundations of salsa dancing and enough to really feel you've got somewhere. If you are a total beginner, or been dancing for months and want to sharpen your skills to get that much needed boost to your confidence and dancing,  then this course is perfect for you. The course will offer much more than a single lesson once or twice a week. Our instructors will give the group an intensive program that will get you dancing much more confidently. Included in the price is 1 FREE entrance to our regular nights on Wednesdays at the same venue, so you can practice your skills.   The focus will be on learning quickly in a very relaxed fun atmosphere. All our staff are very friendly and encouraging.
   
  We will give you tips and techniques that you can take away and keep forever. More importantly fundamental techniques that will carry you through your whole Latin dance life.
