Queer and Trans Family Pride Party: Summer Disco

Family Pride 2018 does Summer Disco

An annual Pride extravaganza for families including a DJ dance party, water play in the splash pad, a mini-parade around the park, making fabulous attire for all of your pride events and much, much more.

This year's theme is Summer Disco! Grab your bell bottoms, boogie shoes, and big hairstyles! It's Summer Disco with Family Pride so get your glitter out and groove with us. 

Queer and Trans Family Events are designed for queer and trans families and allies to celebrate LGBTQ2S diversity.

50+ Pride Banner Making: Community Silk Screening Workshop

Hosted by the Older LGBTQ2S Drop-In Program


An intergenerational invitation to the broader community. People of all ages are welcome to participate.

Remembering Orlando

In the memory of the people who lost their lives in Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting (June 12, 2016), The 519’s front windows will display their names on June 12, 2018. 

LatinX Community Healing Space - A Space to Talk

LatinX Community Health Space - A Space to Talk will offer folks an opportunity to come together on the anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub Shooting of 2016, and engage in various healing activities. This will be a Spanish, Portuguese, English supported language space. Snack and Refreshments to be provided.

Trans March Banner Making: Community Silk Screening Session

Free event - for all folks who identify as part of the trans umbrella

Congratulations to Yasmeen Persad – Facilitator Education and Training, and coordinator for Trans People of Colour program at The 519 – for being honoured as this year’s Trans Ambassador for Pride. 

Yasmeen has been an activist for Trans Human Rights for the past 15 years. Toronto and The 519 are lucky to have her.

AIDS Candlelight Vigil 2018: Strengths in Communities

2018 will mark the 34th year of the AIDS Candlelight Vigil. The theme for this year's Vigil is “Strengths in Communities." 

The Toronto AIDS Candlelight Vigil is an open community event held annually at the AIDS Memorial to remember, honour, and celebrate the people who have died of AIDS and to celebrate those who live with the virus. 

This year’s Vigil will once again feature performers who reflect the diversity of people and communities affected by, or living with HIV/AIDS.

The 519 is an accessible facility with a ramp, elevator, and all-gender washrooms.

The biggest and best parties in town during Pride month are hosted by The 519. Each year during the final weekend of Pride, The 519 hosts its fundraising Green Space Festival featuring a series of signature events with an international line-up of music producers and multimedia performances.

Green Space Festival is a major fundraising activity for The 519 and all funds raised through these events support our year-round community programs, services, and free, accessible space at The 519.

To celebrate 10 years of Green Space Festival, we're bringing you globe-trotting sensation Eliad Cohen and his international TreeHouse After Party.

DJ Jeremy Khamkeo and his throbbing tracks will keep you feeling sexy on the dance floor. Get hyped when DJ Suri hits the decks, bringing you daddy vibes and guaranteed smash hits. And Isaac Escalante brings you the beats that will keep you going until it's time to say goodbye.
