City of Richmond is on a Roll!

The City of Richmond plans to provide all of its eligible households for residential recycling with a 95 gallon recycling cart. At this time, over 5,700 homes have been part of the first phase to receive a new cart. This enhancement in service will go citywide by December 2015.

At the request of the city, all recycling collections will take place where the homeowners trash is collected by the city. Visit Richmond Recycles for more information.

Did You Know?

  • City of Petersburg has challenged its curbside recyclers to recycle 4,000 tons of recycling by June 2015. Help the City reach its goal.
  • An estimated 18,023 tons of recycables have been directed from local landfills so far this fiscal year. Check out our monthly program statistics to see how much is being recycled where you live.
  • Recycling Perks is a "rewards program" offered by TFC Recycling for households that have a 95 gallon green recycling cart.

CVWMA's 25th Anniversary

It is hard to believe that we will be celebrating our 25th year this year. Since 1990, CVWMA has been committed to serving its member jurisdictions in the region with a plethora of solid waste management and recycling programs. We are proud that these programs continue to help the public properly dispose of and divert items from going into local landfills.
