Residential Recycling: Do's and Don'ts

CVWMA wants to help you recycle right.
  • Place accepted items only in your recycling containers.
  • Leave items that are not accepted out of your recycling containers.
  • If you use a local drop-off recycling location to recycle, place accepted items only in those containers too.
  • Putting items CVWMA does not accept in recycling containers can damage equipment, harm workers, and adds additional sorting and disposal costs.
  • Watch our educational  Journey to the MRF video to see what happens to collected recyclables once they are collected at your home or a convenient drop-off recycling location.
If you are new to the area and want to start recycling, please call CVWMA at (804) 340-0900.

Special Collection Events
