Welcome to our April 2021 Newsletter

What are You doing for Earth Day?
We can all make a difference.

With the 51st annual celebration of Earth Day and warmer temperatures right around the corner, we encourage citizens to get out in the community and learn ways to reduce their impact on the environment. We can each make a difference.
  • Reduce the amount of waste you generate. Reduce what you buy.
  • Reuse as much as possible.
  • Repurpose what can you can.
  • Recycle items that can be recycled. Recycle right.
CVWMA offers its member localities Earth Day educational resources  as well as listing of locality events.  Let's make every day Earth Day!

Special Collection Events

Several of our member localities have special collection events planned for April and May.  Visit our Event Calendar to see if a special recycling collection event is being offered where you live.

Follow CVWMA on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram too.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Spring National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10 am - 2 pm. These events offer citizens a safe, convenient, and responsible way to properly dispose of unused prescription drugs through local law enforcement. Click here to see where one will be scheduled where you live.

Plastic Bags and Plastic Bagged Recyclables

CVWMA want to help you recycle right. Plastic bags are the #1 contaminate in recycling containers in our residential recycling & drop-off recycling programs. If you collect recyclables in a plastic bag, empty the contents into recycling containers. Return plastic bags and film to local retail and grocery stores. Click here to find a location near you.

It's all you. Your recycling matters. Visit for more ways to recycle right.
