CVWMA Elects New Board of Directors

Due to the resignation of one of its Board members, the CVWMA held a special election of officers for its Board of Directors on Friday, Aug.16. The newly elected officers include: Steve Chidsey (Hanover), Chairman; Robert C. Key (Chesterfield),Vice Chair; Robert C. Whiteman (Henrico), Treasurer; Bill Hamby, Jr. (Prince George), Secretary; James A. Jackson (Richmond), Director; and Mark Kukoski(Richmond), Past Chair.

CVWMA Launches Website Redesign Sept 1

Starting September 1, will have a new look! CVWMA worked with SiteVision to develop our much more user friendly site. We have added additional online customer service features too! Check out our new site and let us know how we are doing!

Labor Day Holiday to Delay Curbside Recycling and Trash Collections

CVWMA curbside recycling and trash collections will be delayed one day the week of September 2 due to the Labor Day holiday. There will be no collections on Monday, September 2; thus all collections during this week will occur on the day following the normal collection day. Friday collections will take place on Saturday.

James River Regional Cleanup Day, Sept 14

It's your river. Enjoy it! Care for it. Saturday, September 14, 9 am - 1 pm. Download cleanup site locations here. Join this fantastic effort to do something great for the river and community you love. Walkers, boaters,both paddlers and power boaters needed to clean up the river and shorelines. 2012 cleanup statistics report that, 956 volunteers along with 65 paddle and power boaters picked up 82 tires, an assortment of automotive parts, bicycle parts and other metal items, 367 bags of litter and 224 bags of recycables from the James River and its shorelines during a four hour period!
