The workshop instructor team consists of environmental practitioners, agency staff, and attorneys with career experience in CEQA and NEPA, including Sean Bechta (Ascent Environmental), Charyce Hatler (Department of Water Resources), John Kinsey (Wanger Jones Helsey PC), and Steve Noack (The Planning Center).
Following the Advanced CEQA Workshop on Thursday, join conference attendees for an opening reception featuring Jim Reed from Liebersbach, Mohun, Carney & Reed. Jim will discuss the famous
Friends of Mammoth case, which resulted in the comprehensive CEQA we know today. Friday’s luncheon keynote speaker is the Mammoth Community Water District’s (District’s) General Manager, Patrick Hayes. Patrick will be discussing the Water Rights Agreement between the District and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, as well as the ORMAT Geothermal IV Project EIR/EIS.
The Eastern Slope Conference also offers a half-day fly fishing workshop on Saturday morning led by Gene Talmadge, AEP President.
