Dear Graduating BU Student,

Congratulations! With graduation just around the corner, your hard work is about to pay off. We hope you will be able to attend Commencement Ceremonies at Boston University.

If you plan on coming to Boston, I invite you and a guest to participate in the first annual Distance Education GPS Urban Adventure, taking place during Commencement weekend. Not only is the Urban Adventure a fun way to discover the secrets of Boston and our campus, but you can put faces to names and get to know your fellow graduates from online programs. In small teams, you’ll use handheld GPS units to guide you on a race around the city, solving riddles and completing challenges leading to the next adventure.

GPS Urban Adventure

Saturday, May 21, 2011 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Alumni Lounge
595 Commonwealth Avenue, West Entrance, 7th Floor
Boston, MA

  Register Online

Space is limited. Event is complimentary with a suggested donation of $20.11 per person to BU’s Metropolitan College. Donate here.

The program is rain-or-shine, so dress appropriately for Boston weather—and be sure to wear good walking shoes, as some routes may involve as many as three miles of walking. A small pack/bag, a water bottle, and a sense of adventure are also essential. Light refreshments will be served upon your return to the Alumni Lounge at noon.
