MEET A TEACHER
Brooke Hermanson
Brooke Hermanson is a high school English teacher at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. She uses her Flipboard magazine, Teaching Resources, to inspire and engage the "reluctant readers" in her class as well as to help her students become more tech-savvy. We talked to Brooke during the unrest in Baltimore, which made her story all the more poignant. Meet Brooke and see a sample assignment from her class's Flipboard magazine here.

Commemorate the school year
with a magazine
School is winding down in the U.S., which means tests and assessments, recitals, yearbooks, class cleanouts and (temporary) goodbyes. This post has more ideas and tips, including how to include photos from your own device (iOS and Android).

If your class is following the 2016 candidates and campaigns, The Washington Post is creating a Flipboard magazine on each contender. Flip through each magazine to get up to speed on the key players and issues.
