Dear FamilySearch Indexer,
Monday, May 30, 2011, was a milestone day for FamilySearch indexing. Volunteers arbitrated 946,521 records, the highest one-day amount in over a year—and last year's high numbers had help. Those 946,521 records can now be published online where they can be scoured by researchers worldwide.
This milestone could not have been reached without each record being indexed twice before it could be arbitrated. Our hats go off to the volunteers who helped index 1,702,614 records on Monday.
It's hard to believe that we reached these monumental numbers just one week after our major outage. Thank you all for returning to participate in this worldwide indexing initiative. We're excited to see what milestones we can reach next as we work together toward our common goal of creating open access to genealogical records.
