Executive Roundtable Call:

The NCHN ER (Executive Roundtable) calls are your opportunity to connect with your peers across the country. The calls are facilitated by Mary Kay Chess, Ph.D., and provides an hour each month for you to explore opportunities and challenges of managing a successful health network.

Please join us for the November NCHN Executive Roundtable (ER) call to discuss approaches to effective communication.  We know that connections with key stakeholders are critical and now, there are endless ways to do so.  There are no right or wrong answers, only ongoing and unique experiments all over the country.  During this call, we are asking each participant to come prepared with 1-2 experiments you have engaged in with your constituents.  It may be a kick-starter campaign to launch a new product line.  It might be a collective impact community-wide focus group to talk about preventive care.  And, some of you may have a monthly webinar for specialized peer groups that is wildly successful.  Bring your successes and flat out failures on connectivity! We look forward to hearing how you are leveraging social media, voice, and face-to-face contact in communicating and growing your network

The date and time for this call has not yet been set.  Please watch your email for an invitation once those details are confirmed.  Hope you can join us!

On Thursday, November 5 at 2:00 pm ET, the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services will hold a webinar to discuss its findings and recommendations to US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell from two policy briefs issued earlier this year, Telehealth in Rural America and Intimate Partner Violence. The first brief examines telehealth in rural America and the implications of using this technology to help HHS meet the broader goals of value, quality and costs savings inherent in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The second examines rural intimate partner violence (IPV), an issue that presents unique challenges in rural areas. These briefs were developed during the Committee meeting in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, September 24-26, 2014 which included additional site visits and stakeholder meetings in rural communities in both South Dakota and Minnesota. Registration is free, but space is limited.
