The NCHN Board of Directors and Staff
would like to wish all of you HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

The 2016 NCHN Network Leader Salary and Benefits survey has been distributed!

NCHN conducts a salary and benefit survey every two years of the Network Leaders of its member organizations. Participation in the survey by NCHN membership is voluntary and the data self-reported. Members that participate receive a complimentary copy of the summarized report. Participants in the survey are not identified and their data is confidential. Over the past three surveys, the total number of networks participating has remained relatively constant, although the same network members may have not participated each year. Of 54 members invited to complete the 2016 survey, 40 (74%) responded.

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who took time to complete the survey and contribute to the results.

All participants have been emailed a copy of the report last week.  If you participated in the survey and did not receive a copy please contact Linda at  For those who did not participate in the survey copies are available for purchase. If interested in purchasing a copy of the report, please contact Linda.

 Executive Roundtable

The NCHN team looks forward to working with each of you in 2017.  Let's start off the new year with a conversation around strategic thinking as the focus for our first 2017 Executive Roundtable (ER Calls) of the new year.  Often, we rush to engage in creating a thoughtful strategic plan and to measuring and reporting our success in meeting goals and objectives.  What we are going to focus on in this conversation is an on-going initiative required for building sustainable networks:  strategic thinking.  Here are some of the questions we will consider:

When does strategic thinking take place?
How do we build muscle for this?
Is it necessary and where will we find the time?
What are approaches that support strategic thinking?

We look forward to hearing your voices and your perspectives on January 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM ET; 10:00 AM CT; 9:00 AM MT; 8:00 AM PT.

NCHN members will be receiving invitations through Readytalk. If you do not receive one by January 13th, please contact Tara Long at
