Quarterly Informational Call

Please save the date and plan to join us on Monday, September 12, 2016 @ 2:00 PM ET for the NCHN Quarterly Informational Call, “Over(time) and Out!  The DOL Makes its Move”

We are pleased to announce that Michael P. Gardner, Associate with Woods Rogers, PLC will be with us to discuss the “new overtime rules from the Department of Labor.” Mr. Gardner has also agreed that we can open the call up to your members, so please feel free to share the invitation with your network members.

Over(time) and Out!  The DOL Makes its Move
Beginning December 1, 2016, new regulations significantly increase the salary threshold above which employers may exempt certain workers from overtime compensation when they work more than forty (40) hours in a workweek. Join us for a complimentary seminar on the new overtime rules. Companies have only 3 months to prepare for these significant changes to human resources and payroll operations.

Mr. Gardner is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment, Appellate and Litigation groups. He handles a wide variety of matters ranging from compliance with federal employment and labor laws, such as the Fair Labor Standards Acts, to insurance coverage disputes, non-compete litigation and commercial torts. Michael is a graduate of Washington and Lee University.  You can read his complete bio a

And again, feel free to share the invitation with your members as you support them prepare for these new important rules.

  Executive Roundtable

NCHN sponsors the Executive Roundtable (ER) sessions as a venue for Rural Network Leaders to meet virtually, once a month, and share topics that are top of mind in this complex healthcare environment. This month's session is a continuation of our July & August conversations. We will take a deeper dive into possible solutions to the issues facing network leaders. We want to know:
  • What are the significant challenges in your rural network?
  • What solutions have been most significant in addressing these challenges?
  • When you consider the emphasis on sustainability in your network, what confounds you?
  • What creative solutions have you discovered to create on-going sustainability in your unique network?webinar
  • Who are your key network stakeholders?
  • What are the most significant contributions of your advisers and board members?
These are just some of the situations we will consider in our Executive Roundtable sessions in August and September. You will need to bring your curiosity to the forum and a willingness to listen deeply to your colleagues and respond with practices from your network perspective.  We look forward to hearing you on: Tuesday, September 27th @ 2:00 PM ET; 1:00 PM CT; 12:00 PM MT; 11:00 AM PT.
