Hello baa ram ewers,

After the excitement of our own UK new season launch, this month our attention has turned to Europe, and showcasing our gorgeous Titus yarn to our continental counterparts.
Verity and Jo met up with designer Rachel Coopey and headed off to Cologne in Germany to the Handarbeit show- a massive trade show attracting countless visitors and exhibitors from Ysolda Teague and Stephen West to mime artists in sequined coats (the Addi needle stand), astronauts in full space suits (Coats) and even a knitted Fiat 500 (we've forgotten who that one was).
We had a great time and met some truly lovely people who will now be stocking our Titus in their gorgeous yarn stores including Sasknits in Rotterdam (pictured above) and these two wonderful ladies- Marja and Hilly- from Trollen wol near Utrecht. Expect to see more from these in the future!

Yellow jersey-tastic!

Well, it's been a rollercoaster! When we first started working with Harrogate Council to create the pattern for some little yellow jerseys, we had no idea how much it would capture the imagination of knitters all around Yorkshire, the UK and even the world. The initial target of 3,000 jerseys was smashed in the very early days, and now the deadline has passed the council has revealed it has received

That's amazing! Even The Guardian and Vogue Knitting think so too and have run story of this fantastic project. Thank you so much to all of you who took part.

If you go down to the woods...

And if you're feeling bereft after knitting all those jerseys, don't worry, we've got another fantastic community project on the go- The Woollen Woods exhibition at Sizergh. We are hoping to knit lots of Yorkshire Roses in Titus and have our very own baa ram ewe tree as part of this special exhibition. The lovely photo above

If anyone would like to join us in knitting a Yorkshire Rose or two can pop in to either shop to collect a volunteer knitters pack containing the pattern, some White Rose and Chevin Titus. Please can we ask any participants to have them back to the shops for April 2nd

The Woollen Woods exhibition will be open to the public from 12th April - 1st September at Sizergh Castle. So you have plenty of time to go and visit the fantastic display and see if you can spot your handiwork.

More information about the organisers and further inspiration can be found here. Please call the shop to check we have availibility of kits before making a special journey as stocks are limited.

a mum made masterpiece
Some of you may have heard of Amy Herzog's book 'Knits to Fit and Flatter', but here's Verity wearing something rather to the contrary.
This flabbergasting creation was made by Verity's mum back in the 1980's (when else?) and really is something to behold. But can you do better? To celebrate Mothering Sunday and how creative our mums are we are looking for pictures of items knitted or crocheted by mums – and we're offering a hamper of goodies (including our Titus) for the most jaw-dropping effort.

Anyone who would like to submit an entry can call in to either shop with their knitted or crocheted item – and their mum if possible – between now and Mothering Sunday, March 30th. Alternatively, they can send photographs of mum-made items to The winning entry, chosen after Mother’s Day, will win a hamper baa ram ewe treats.

Plus, as an extra Mother's day treat, anyone who takes their mum into either shop on Mothering Sunday itself will receive 10% off any purchase – and so will their mum. Enjoy!

Elina has knitted this beautiful shawl in yarn several sizes smaller that the pattern calls for to create a light summer shawl. It is amazing what you can do just by changing the yarn.

She has used the gorgeous Fyberspates 4 ply in the natural shade.

Congratulations on a lovely garment and your £10 gift card.
