"Thinking About Our Thinking:"
The Milan Systemic Questioning Model
with Dr. Larry Sun Fong

In a prelude to the Workshop Dr. Fong is conducting at ACR Conference 2015 (Reno, October 7-10, 2015A), his focus in this short one hour teleconference presentation is to provide the theory behind the use of Milan Systemic Questioning. This system of questioning promotes client understanding, conversation,  and change.

As background, Dr. John Haynes (now of memory) and Dr. Fong, included mediation appropriate approaches within the three main components of the Model: Questioning, Neutrality and Hypothesizing. In particular, the Questioning component includes the use of questions which are cognitively(thinking) based in nature as a means of using hypotheses, questioning and neutrality to create a change in clients’ thinking and behaviour.

At Conference 2015, Dr. Fong will continue his presentation on the Milan Systemic Questioning Model by moving into the fourth component of the Model, that being strategizing.

Presenter: Dr. Larry Fong, a Past-President of ACR, is a registered psychologist, mediator, parenting coordinator, arbitrator, and international teacher and trainer, whose practice is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He uses and has lectured world-wide on the Milan Systemic Model of ‘thinking about your thinking’ as one component of his work. The format and Model has been used in focussed training DVD’s mediation sessions with to demonstrate the incorporation of the Model into practice and as a vehicle for “thinking about your thinking”.
