The establishment of the Department and Agency Audit Committees (DAAC) has been identified as a key enabler to the success of the Federal Accountability Act. This initiative, in itself, is an important governance change, as each federal department and agency will now have independent audit committees. DAACs report directly to deputy heads of federal departments and agencies with the mandate to provide objective advice on and oversight of their department's management, control, and accountability processes. Deputy heads use this information to enhance accountability, transparency, and the overall performance of their departments.
Denise Alcock, Robert Hanlon, Wayne Strelioff appointed to the DAAC for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research
Ian Clark, Andrée Lafortune, Michele Noble, Rick Roger appointed to the DAAC for Health Canada
