HB165….An Expensive Way to Send a Message
HB165, State Reimbursement for Required Medical Services Act (sponsored by Rep. Herrod), which carries a $26 million fiscal note, passed out of the House.  This expensive messaging bill would have the State of Utah suing the federal government for reimbursement of medical services provided under EMTALA...(read more)

SB137, Medicaid Amendments, Passes Senate!
Sen. Christensen uncircled SB137, 3rd Substitute, last Friday and testified eloquently in favor with Sen. Liljenquist (listen here: http://le.utah.gov/av/smil?sess=2011GS&ID=70383).  SB137 faces a tough battle in the House.
