Happy New Year! We are starting the new year by welcoming Emanuel P. Sachse to our Entrust team, to serve as Portfolio Administrator. Just as clients look for character, caring, and competence when selecting their financial advisor, we knew we found the best candidate when we discovered these same qualities in Emanuel, "Manny". Take a moment to review his bio on our Entrust site.
In fact, Entrust's Investment Committee considers these same qualities of character, caring, and competence when completing due diligence for the investment managers we recommend. We came across exemplary illustrations in a video by Dimensional Funds, a company that offers mutual funds we often use in client portfolios. Watching it may reaffirm your confidence in the process of investing and enhance your peace of mind as the new year begins.
Continuing with our theme of the new year, Mckenzie and Joslyn are excited about relationships they are developing with the Financial Planning departments of Temple University and St. Joe's University in Philadelphia, PA. The first scheduled event is a guest lecture for Temple University students. Readers who know us well will be amused that the topic, Ethics and Technology, was specifically selected in hopes that the two of us would make the session dynamic and interesting rather than dry as dust. We will do our best by using real life stories.
Blog and Videos
Our themes of new beginnings for 2017, in tandem with the qualities of character, caring and competence, make this a good time to revisit our blog: Top Questions You Should Ask a Financial Advisor.

Remember to share both with family and friends, especially on your favorite social media sites!
Coffee Talk
All of us understand that one of our primary investments, our home, makes a statement about our values, taste and preferred style of living. To that end, perhaps you are considering updates you plan to accomplish in your home in 2017. What you may not be aware of, however, is that women make great real estate investors. Joslyn's article, Why Women Make Great Real Estate Investors, sheds light on this paradigm. Take a look.

Actual investment return and principal value of equities, bonds, REIT's, ETF's, and mutual funds will fluctuate so that an investor’s shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. There are risks associated with investing, including the risk of loss of principal. There is no assurance that a diversified portfolio will result in better returns than an undiversified portfolio, nor does diversification assure against market loss.
