|One of our FMI workers returns to his island during college break...
After so many months being far away from my hometown, I've finally visited my province-the province of Romblon. As an old adage says-there's no better place like home. And it was really nice to be back here in Romblon. For almost two weeks of staying here, I again explored and experienced the beauty of my village. So I am now sharing with you this wonderful experience of mine.
As I'd strolled in Odiongan, where my families is currently residing I realized that there were so many changes here, there were many buildings being established. The people here hadn't changed, they were still hospitable as ever.
One of the primary purposes why I visited my province, was to spread the words of God among my friends who still doesn't know our Lord, but especially among the children. Because as the bible maxim says in Luke 9:48, "whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all - he is the greatest." So my beloved mother, accompanied me to go Tuguis, were my family in Christ were pioneering and sharing the words of God. You can see the photos taken in Tuguis and Agpudlos.
As I looked into the situation of the children there, I had a strong desire to help those children of God. Especially in helping to know our Lord Jesus Christ. So I had volunteered myself to teach those children. After sharing with them I had experienced the power of our Lord Jesus filled those children and I had experienced that I had accomplished something in my life. But as a servant of the Lord I had also experienced persecution from the people who had seen me sharing words of God.
Finally, as one of my accomplishments while staying here in Romblon, aside from bringing those people to God, I helped built our new pioneering church located in Tuguis and Agpudlos.
And if our Lord Jesus Christ is willing, we, together with my fellow brothers/sisters in Christ want to build a better church and house for children ministry, so as we could accommodate well those needy children and other families out there in the countryside.
God bless you all,
