Public High School update from 2 days ago..

If you received our last email update then you know what is happening ... Just a recap:  two months ago we held a Youth retreat for 22 new students - 20 committed their life to Christ for the first time.  About a month ago a girl from our FMI church in Tagaytay / Mendez was so filled with her new faith that she began speaking in each of the classrooms at her High School.  The result was 60 additional students committed their lives to Christ.

The story continues with the photos you see on the left.  Inside the classrooms of the local school there is nothing short of an 'outpouring' or 'revival' taking place. Our FMI workers are now following up the students with classes filled with Godly meaning and purpose as well as spontaneous outbreaks of worship, song and prayer.

One girls stands up and says that she hadn't talked with her parents in months and because of her new faith has asked their forgiveness and reconciled with them.  Another student reports that her parents wonder at the change in her behavior and are so thankful that the Lord has touched her life.

You can imagine that all of these students need Bibles right about now... We didn't plan for this but the Lord must have.  We have already started photocopying lessons for them but they don't have any Bibles to take home, put in the bags or purses they carry, or take with them to school.  We hold classes right in the High School and also now have started small group meetings with the parents of the students.   The parents are so happy to see positive changes in their children that they welcome us to start Bible studies.

We desperately need materials.  The cost of Bibles is about $4.00 each.  We suppose that we need between 100 to 150 at this point.  If there is enough funds we can gather these students during their summer vacation (April & May) and have an intensive youth camp with them.

Imagine this kind of thing happening in your local High School... We would do anything necessary to change the way a lot of youth are headed today.  Plus if it was your local High School and this was happening everyone would probably be arrested by now.

Our goal in the future is to begin having these High School students communicate with their counter-parts in the States and Western Europe.  For them this is very easy as they all grow up now knowing how to use modern technology to contact people all over the world.

We believe that youth from this area of the world (Asia) will be able to help youth in different countries as part of God's plan for this 21st century!

Our FMI Charity work continues with the malnourished squatter kids but we must also start new businesses that can bring income and provision for the work here and the families of the children that are part of our programs. Using our new Travel Website at www.cytravel-asia.com will help us to continue this good work. Be our partner and at the same time get the cheapest fares for your travel needs.
