2022 Watershed Stewardship Grants

Apply Today

Stewardship groups, don't miss this opportunity. The 2022 online application form is now live. The deadline for applications is February 14, 2022 at 5:00 pm MST.
Since 2006, Watershed Stewardship Grants, made possible with funding from Alberta Environment and Parks, have supported the efforts of groups like Ghost Watershed Alliance Society and Wizard Lake Watershed and Lake Stewardship Association.

Stewardship Showcase

Stewardship groups across Alberta face similar challenges such as finding dedicated volunteers for their board of directors, effectively communicating with stakeholders and ultimately trying to create and implementing plans for their watersheds. We're showcasing how Wabamun Watershed Management Council has overcome some of these challenges and shown outstanding stewardship progress throughout the years.

Calling all Rural Municipalities

The Green Acreages program coordinator would like to speak with rural municipalities across Alberta about the number of acreages, hobby farms and rec properties in their jurisdictions. Email milena@landstewardship.org to take part in this important survey. All participating counties and MDs will be entered in a draw for a set of 10 Green Acreages Guide workbooks, valued at $350!
