An Annual Report Worth Perusing

We recently launched our 2019–2020 annual report and are excited to share it with you. It’s short and sweet – a concise look at some of our collaborative efforts that are making stewardship a reality.

Putting Green Acreages Resources to Work

Recently, Milena McWatt, Green Acreages Program Coordinator, and Ken Lewis, Conservation Coordinator at Red Deer County, had the pleasure of visiting 4 Acres Farm, a small hobby farm acreage in Red Deer County to discuss stewardship projects with property owner, Nicole Poburan.

Stewardship Showcase

The Waterton Biosphere Reserve Association (WBRA) has been hard at work helping the endangered little brown bat with their successful Building Resilience for Bats program. Through research and engagement with landowners in southern Alberta, WBRA is raising awareness to save this struggling species. Learn more about this important project.

Meet a Board Member

Successful organizations don’t just happen – they are created, nurtured and guided by people. We are fortunate to have a strategic, innovative and forward-thinking Board of Directors that positions our organizaiton as a leader in the field of environmental stewardship. Meet Jodie Hierlmeier who is part of the board team that governs LSC.
Version 3.0 of the Conservation Land Registry is under development and should launch in 2021. Updates and improvements include a mapping function, enhanced search reports and improved client account options.
Lauren Van Dyke recently joined the Land Stewardship Centre team and will be focusing her efforts over the next six months on climate resiliency planning within the UNESCO designated Beaver Hills Biosphere.
