University of South Florida Offers Fully Online Certificate in Positive Behavior Support (PBS)
Now Enrolling for January 2011!
University of South FloridaThe University of South Florida recently announced that they are now offering a fully online Graduate Certificate in Positive Behavior Support (PBS). This certificate program provides an evidence based approach to resolving challenging and supporting prosocial behavior in children and youth within schools and early education settings. TACSEI's New "Making Your Life Easier" Series Provides Tips for Parents and Caregivers
Making Life Easier SeriesNeed some tips to help make changing your child's diaper less of a battle? Looking for ways to make taking your young child to the store a fun and beneficial experience? We can help! TACSEI is pleased to announce the new "Making Life Easier" series which is designed specifically for parents and caregivers. This series of tipsheets contains valuable information on how to make often challenging events easier to navigate, and even enjoyable, for both caregivers and children. Topics currently include Bedtime and Naptime, Running Errands, and Diapering. Each tipsheet also includes a helpful quick reference sheet that is perfect for slipping in a diaper bag or tacking up on a bulletin board.  Be sure to visit the TACSEI website to check out these valuable new resources!

ITCA Offers New Web Series on Young Children's Social Emotional Development
Little boy with dogIn collaboration with TACSEI and the IDEA 619 Consortium, the Infant and Toddler Coordinators Associations (ITCA) is pleased to provide a series of webinars on the social emotional development of young children. The series was developed in response to the emerging body of research related to the importance of social emotional development as a stepping stone to positive outcomes for young children.  Topics in the series include: Screening for Social & Emotional Development & Linking to Program Planning; Integrating Early Childhood Social Emotional Development into Early Childhood Systems; and Social Emotional Work in Early Care and Learning Settings: Working Towards a Systems Approach in Kansas. TACSEI LogoThe Technical Assistance Center on Social Emotional Intervention for Young Children, (TACSEI) is a five-year grant made possible by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
