New Store Hours: 7 days from 8am to 8 pm

We are always working towards making the Co-op a destination that all 1144 Owners can enjoy so plans are in the works for new patio dining, a native plant landscaping project in front of the store and an adobe oven building project planned for July 12 &13 that will end with a pizza oven on the side patio available for dinner parties or "Friday Night Pizza at the Co-op!" There is still room to sign up for the class so don't miss your chance to learn community building skills from Brian Baker who teaches adobe oven building in our community and beyond! We have a treat for you as a PNFC owner.
Come in the store on your birthday, show the cashier some ID with your birth date on it and receive a free muffin, from our daily fresh baked-in-house gluten free muffins!  Happy Birthday to you---yum!
 
For this month of July we have a special incentive for our customers to take the plunge and sign up as new owners. When their application is processed their name will be added to the drawing for a $100. gift card.  So, if you know anyone who is considering becoming an owner, share the news.  The odds of winning will be very good!  Drawing will be held August 1st.

What's New at the Store

July is here and summer is in full swing! 
 
The Co-op has a wide variety of local produce available this time of year including peaches, plums, blueberries, basil, bok choy, green beans, summer squash and kale. We will be posting "What's local at the Co-op" on Facebook so check it out.

Calling All Volunteers!

.Our next volunteer orientation will be Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 6:30 pm.
We have a lot of upcoming volunteer opportunities:
Farmers Market:  Volunteers are needed every Saturday at our booth.  
American River Festival:  September 13 & 14.  A fantastic event with a limited number of volunteer spots available.
Gift bag construction: We give away goodie bags to the new owners when they sign up.  We are looking for someone (maybe a fun family project) to make these gift bags and stuff them with the samples our vendors provide to us.
Newsletter mailing: Some of our owners prefer to receive a hard copy of the Gleanings. We could use some help getting these newsletters sent out.
Sampling:  We love sharing our great food with our customers! It's always more fun to have someone handing out samples and telling our customers about the product.
