ARTS ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND CAREER MANAGEMENT BOOTCAMP
A pilot project presented by AOE Arts Council

Reboot your arts career! Limited to just 15 participants, you will walk away from this intensive bootcamp with an understanding of some key tools to realize your 3-5 year goals.

Led by three experienced faciliators, this hands-on workshop would benefit professional emerging and established artists, arts managers and arts groups in all disciplines. 

When: February 10-11, 2017

Friday, Feb. 10: Career Management 
2 - 6 pm: Set Your Personal Mission & Goals

Saturday, Feb. 11: Arts Entrepreneurship
9 am - 5 pm: Using an adapted version for the arts of the Business Model Canvas and sample scenarios, learn how to design a creative business plan, evaluate and articulate the different elements into planning and organizing your arts projects or 'creative organizations'.

All participants will walk away with a printed toolkit.

Meet the Facilitators:

Toni van Eeden
Toni van EedenToni, co-owner and CEO of RedBrick Rooster Inc., is a personal branding coach, creativity consultant, speaker, and vlogger. She helps entrepreneurs build a brand that is more than just good looks. She builds brands that are authentic, heart-centered, and resilient. In other words, something that's built from the inside out.

 

Janet Irwin
Janet IrwinJanet has worked in Ottawa’s professional theatre since 1980. Understanding that earning a living in the arts means wearing many hats, she tried a lot on. Consequently, she works as theatre director, playwright, producer, dramaturg, coach and consultant. She considers herself to be a life-long learner.

 


Victoria Steele
Victoria SteeleMs. Steele is Executive Director of AOE Arts Council and has over 35 years’ experience managing arts organizations at the local and national level, including 19 years at the National Arts Centre. Ms. Steele is also a freelance arts management consultant and part-time professor of Theatre management and Career Management at UOttawa.
