2015 Work & Cancer Survey Results Released!
Cancer and Careers is committed to collecting the stories and experiences of our community. One key way we do that is by investing in research that helps the greater public understand what working patients and survivors are facing. The results from our newest national survey were released this fall and support what we hear from people every day about what it's like to balance work and cancer.

Key findings include:
  • Most cancer patients and survivors want to work and say that work provides a sense of pride that is critical to recovery.
  • Over half of patients and survivors looking for work feel disclosing their diagnosis will negatively affect their chances of getting hired.
  • Women are more likely than men to report that their cancer impacted their work and that work impacted their treatment.
