Job Opportunity – Project Implementation Lead

Come join us! We have a great opportunity to join Greater Manchester LPC and help us bring exciting projects to life as we transform healthcare in Greater Manchester. This role is ideal for someone wanting to expand their knowledge and work across 629 pharmacies to support the Service Development Manager and their team.

Community Pharmacy Assurance Framework (CPAF)

We have received notification from NHS BSA that a large number of pharmacies in GM have not yet completed their CPAF questionnaire. We encourage all contractors who have not yet completed this to do so as soon as possible. The CPAF is available for completion until 9th July. Contractors should have received an email from NHS England with a link to complete the questionnaire via NHS BSA. If you have not received it, contact nhsbsa.cpaf@nhs.net.
 

Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey

There is major interest across Greater Manchester in reducing the prescribing of antibiotics and antimicrobial resistance. The project 'Building Rapid Interventions to reduce antimicrobial resisTance' (BRIT) aims to achieve this by using 'SMART' analytics to identify current prescribing trends at both practice and patient level. The BRIT project is administered by the University of Manchester (UoM) on behalf of Greater Manchester Connected Health Cities. We encourage you to take the following survey is part of BRIT's programme, to give you the opportunity to tell them your opinions on antimicrobial resistance and help them design an effective intervention for Greater Manchester. Take the survey.

GMSS IT Service Desk


The GMSS IT Service Desk number is changing. From 29th June 2017 there will be new single number for all Greater Manchester Localities. The new number is: 0161 765 6688.
Please note:  From this date the old locality Service Desk numbers will only advise you to call the new number.
Training and Events

Greater Manchester Community Pharmacy Conference & GMLPC AGM
Save the date: Sunday 17th September

 
Sunday 17th September is the date of our first ever Greater Manchester Community Pharmacy Conference. The full-day event, which is free to attend, will include briefings from commissioners, views on the future of community pharmacy in Greater Manchester, and training sessions and accredited CPD on a range of key topics.
 
The day will close with Greater Manchester LPC’s first AGM, including the opportunity for discussion with your LPC committee members. The venue is Manchester Conference Centre on Sackville Street, M1 3BB.
 
All pharmacies are invited. Further details including registration links will be published shortly but in the meantime don’t forget to save the date in your diary! 

 

Want flu training for this year? Let us know

CHL, the provider company for community pharmacy contractors in Greater Manchester, is negotiating with various companies to get you a fantastic flu training package so you can provide both NHS and private flu vaccinations in 2017/18.
