Material Nature

Caron brings a mix of electronic media, film, and installation with Material Nature—a show that, using illusions, “will raise questions about the human habitat’s unfortunate impact on the earth’s ecosystems through material consumption.” Reception June 10, 6-9 pm.

Resident Artist

Visit our resident artist in the South Gallery this summer every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 4pm. Kegel works mostly with ceramics and has been using a ceramic 3-D printer in her work for the past year. Kegel is creating work for a solo exhibition August 3-13. Supported by the CAN'd Aid Foundation.

Celebrate the historic founding of the Arts Studio Inc. (Firehouse Art Center) with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting. Help us honor the past 30 years and visualize the next 30 years. Delicious appetizers served by Bin46, live music and artist demo.

FRESH EXHIBITION [August 17-September 25]: 
The Firehouse Art Center & Arts Longmont are proud to once again partner in a joint exhibition based on local farms, fresh food, Longmont’s agricultural history and our talented local artists. The exhibition will consist of collaborative works of art from local artists. Projects vary and include painting, sculpture, illustration, mixed media, photography, video, printmaking, installation, storytelling, and poetry.

Poetry writers and lovers of poetry are encouraged to come and read a poem, or to play the vital role of audience in our poetry community.  Our group is warm, welcoming, encouraging, and a wee bit strange and eccentric. With such a wonderfully diverse, expressive group, we hope that you will find your inspiration with us, and that we will spark your creativity.


Saturday, June 11 & 25

Classes at noon are for ages 5-8 and classes at 1 PM are for ages 9-12. New Board Member

The Firehouse is happy to announce the addition of Christy Felton to the Board of Directors. Felton is a Longmont native, whose family has a long history in the town of Longmont.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Creative Writing, a history of acting in the theater, and is co-founder of the Firehouse Poetry Program. 


CSA Art Share
Featuring Firehouse Artist Member IRENE DELKA McCRAY

Community Supported Art Colorado (CSArt Colorado) is a collaboration between Denver Botanic Gardens and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. CSArt Colorado offers art lovers the opportunity to own a specially curated group of artworks from local and regional artists. CSArt shareholders subscribe each season to receive ten works of art from a limited collection of original artworks. The artworks are collected by the shareholder at distribution events where they enjoy food and drink, and have a chance to meet the artists. The works created especially for the season are revealed at each event. Past artworks have included wooden sculpture, encaustic, paintings, photographic prints, and sterling silver spoons.

Happy Space kids camps span a wide variety of creative, artistic outlets and are hosted by an amazing team of artists and teachers.  We bring FULL-BODIED CREATIVE EXPERIENCES to kids, which means every camp includes plenty of movement, music, art journaling, outdoor exploration, and, of course, crafting and creating art!
