Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ontario is launching a new liberal arts curriculum this fall. The core curriculum will challenge students to engage beyond the boundaries of their major area of study, teaching them to think broadly and innovatively. The core curriculum connects the entire Redeemer experience together with 10 courses that build on and complement the content of each student’s chosen discipline.
The Rev. Dr. Douwe Visser, the executive secretary for theology, communion and mission for the World Communion of Reformed Churches will be taking early retirement in 2017 after an extended medical leave due to the need for surgery on both of Visser’s knees, a process that includes several months of rehabilitation and recovery. In accepting his request for early retirement, the WCRC’s Executive Committee expressed its thanks for Visser’s many years of service to the organization and offered the assurance of its prayers for his good health.
