Stand Up for Creation Care, Sign the Letter —
Say YES to Environmental Protection by saying NO
to Scott Pruitt as Next Head of EPA.

In a sinful and greedy world, caring for God’s creation has always meant actively protecting it.  Since December 2, 1970 when it was created by Richard Nixon, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been tasked with protecting our environment - our air, water, land, plants and animals.

Last week, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt was nominated to be the next administrator of the EPA. During his tenure in Oklahoma, Attorney General Pruitt has earned a reputation as one of the EPA's loudest opponents and a close ally of the fossil fuel industry. Mr. Pruitt has a long history of opposing EPA protections. He makes no secret of the fact that he “...is a leading advocate against the EPA’s activist agenda.” (S. Pruitt LinkedIn page)

No federal agencies are perfect - and that goes for the EPA as well. But those who study and work on creation stewardship know that the EPA is a critical part of our ability to protect creation. They also believe that the appointment of Scott Pruitt to head this critical agency poses a serious threat to the EPA’s ability to carry out its mandate of protecting our environment.

Our friends at the Evangelical Environmental Network and Young Evangelicals for Climate Action have written a highly respectful letter urging the incoming administration to rescind this nomination. We invite you to join many others who believe caring for creation means ensuring its protection from organized degradation by signing the letter today.
