Attention youth pastor/leader!

ServiceLink and its carefully chosen ministry partners are pleased to offer a variety of opportunities for youth and young adult teams or individuals to learn, develop their God-given gifts, and gain a deeper understanding of the complex issues of poverty, injustice and Christian service.

Contact us today to learn more about the world of opportunities for youth and young adults to see, touch and hear how God is transforming lives and communities.

The following are a few of the group opportunities ServiceLink and its partners currently offer for youth and young adults. Please contact us to discuss opportunities.

Open Youth Team (ages 16-20) (CRWM)
Take part in an energetic, fun-filled cross-cultural experience and ministry to children and youth (July 22-Aug. 3) partnering with young people from the Christian Reformed Church in the Dominican Republic.

Service and Learning Team (CRWM, World Renew)
Help to construct basic necessities like latrines, concrete floors or water pilas (cisterns) as you work alongside Hondurans in some of this nation’s poorest communities.

Destination Rehoboth
‘Destination Rehoboth’ (July 25-Aug. 1) brings together high school students from across North America for a week of worship, inspiring speakers, and service projects in Rehoboth, Gallop and the Navajo Nation.

Destination New York City
Dwell Church, a new CRC church in Manhattan, offers interested partner churches an urban ministry experience as they work together with the historic Bowery Mission.

One Hope Community Church
Serve alongside members of this small community church as they strive to transform
a warehouse into a ministry space and share the good news with their surrounding

Special Needs SERVE Mentor
Spend a full-filled week as a ‘peer mentor’ to bless, encourage and provide spiritual growth for a SERVE participant with special needs (July 3-9, 2015).

A Summer to Remember
Bring lots of energy and enthusiasm as you assist the City Kidz ministry and Hamilton area churches in providing an exciting summer program for inner-city children.

Summer City Servants
Be part of an eye-opening and heart-warming one-week opportunity for your youth group to serve those in need and support the ministry of The Hamilton Dream Center.

Indigenous Family Centre
Serve, learn and build friendships in a cross-cultural urban environment, with a focus on Aboriginal teachings and how they relate to Christianity.

First Nations SERVE with Youth Unlimited
Sonlight Christian Reformed Church would be delighted to host a group of 30 to 40 people, youth and adults, from either a single sending church or more than one church for a week. See how First Nations people have embraced faith in Jesus, in spite of cultural conflict and oppression. Possible start dates are July 4, 11 or 18, 2015.

"Jesus loves me, this I know!"
We may sing this song and know what it means, but millions of children in Asia have not yet heard that Jesus loves them. You can help change that!! Christian Reformed World Missions is providing two one-week VBS type programs in Asia (July 22-Aug. 9, 2015) and hoping those with a heart for children and sharing the gospel will join in that mission.

Disaster Response Services (World Renew)
Drywall, flooring, painting...these are just a few of the hands on home repair projects youth groups can help disaster survivors with. Consider a disaster response mission trip for your youth group this year and see lives changed. Youth who return often reflect "I feel more compassionate...I found that I really like helping people...I can be used by God...It was great to pray with our group and the homeowners we worked for."

ServiceLink and its partners also offer various individual opportunities, many of which are suited to youth and young adults.

Summer Camp Leaders, Lifeguards
Spend three exciting, energetic weeks learning about another culture while leading an activity-filled summer camp for 5-15 year-olds in a remote First Nations community.

Serving with a Purpose (SWAP) (World Renew)
Do you know of a young person who is motivated to serve their local community and is looking to someday take part in a summer service trip? World Renew’s SWAP program is uniquely geared toward students (ages 14-25) who want to gain a deeper understanding of serving in a cross-cultural setting, and what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ to those living in poverty.

Special Needs Assistant (CRWM)
Is there a young adult in your ministry who has a passion for helping children with special needs?  Perhaps God is inviting them to assist Tesoros de Dios in their ministry to these precious children, right in the heart of Managua, Nicaragua's capital city.

Digital Media Coordinator (CRWM)
Do you possess the talent and technical ability to tell stories through video and other forms of digital media? This position, based in the historic city of Santo Domingo, involves creating videos and other media tools to help promote World Missions' ministry in the DR.

Child Development Volunteer
Show Christ's love while interacting with mentally and physically challenged children ages two to seven years at the Potter’s House in Timisoara, Romania. Bring joy and hope to these children as you lead crafts, Bible lessons, sports activities, and participate in various outings (swimming, zoo, etc.).

Sports Instructor
Do you have good coaching skills in football/soccer, volleyball, rugby, or basketball? Do you love to encourage and train youth? Consider using your skills and experience to help primary and high school children at the Omwabini Rescue Steps school and orphanage.

Please email ServiceLink or call 1-800-730-3490 to explore service and learning opportunities in 2015. We can help you select the right ministry opportunity, and assist in developing a pre-trip plan for maximum benefit – for your youth/young adults as well as those they will be serving.
