Abuse of Power: Reflection, Lament and Liturgy

Synod 2019 included a powerful litany that invited delegates to reflect and lament the abuse of power that has caused much harm to many within our CRC community. Safe Church offers and recommends this litany for use in churches. It could be a good choice for Abuse Awareness Sunday on Sept. 22 (or whatever Sunday works well in your church)

Updates from Safe Church Coordinators: British Columbia

Faye Martin, Safe Church Coordinator in British Columbia (BC) knows that providing safe ministries in churches requires intentionality and long term commitment on the part of the local church, its council, staff and leadership. This past February BC safe church ministry reached out to churches with a letter, which could possibly serve as a template for safe church ministry in other places. What can we learn from BC?
