2020 is nearly done and you are finishing up plans for the final services of the Advent and Christmas season —well-done faithful servants of God! May you find time to rest during the next few weeks, to spend time with your small inner circle, look around to see the good things that God has done, to listen to the good news that God is with us, and look inward to examine where your heart and spirit is at, and take time for some self-care.
Knowing that you more than likely are tired and spent we have put together a few things for you:
Epiphany Sunday: an already recorded sermon and service outline are ready for your use. Use and adapt for your own context.
Note: we hope to offer more of these “Sunday off packages” over the next few months and are eager to create a small library of sermons and worship resources from a diverse range of CRC churches. If you have a sermon to contribute that is not specific to your church and context yet is still relevant please let us know (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Moments Retreat: a FREE retreat created specifically for you all by artist and CRC member Regina Jupp. The retreat can be done on your time. It includes videos from Regina to walk you through portions of the retreat, a music playlist to accompany you on your journey, scripture for reflection, and an opportunity to respond by creating your own art. You can choose to spend a week dwelling for 15-30 minutes each day on scripture presented and then conclude with a longer 90 minute retreat on the final day or take a few hours at one time. Truthfully there is no right or wrong way to do this retreat, we have provided the different “Moments” follow the Spirit’s leading as you journey through some or all of them. Sign up at https://reginajupp.com/retreat to receive a link and password for the retreat.
Ere Zij God organ only recording is already available and another with voices will be available Monday, December 21. Check out Advent and Christmas Resources for Use During Covid for links to those recordings and more . . .
As always know that you remain in our prayers. If there is something specific we can pray for or if there is another way we can support you please email email@example.com.
Have a blessed Christmas,
