Get your Mac ready for service
You may not have thought about it, but there are things you should do before bringing your Mac in for service.
To protect your information and save time, follow these steps before you get service for your Mac.
Make a backup
Making a backup is an important part of preparing your Mac for service. Time Machine makes it simple to back up and restore all of your files, and other backup methods are also available. Learn how to back up your Mac.
Arrange for service
We hope you will choose TenPlus Systems for your Mac service. You don't need an appointment and we have easy access from our parking lot to our check-in desk. We'll come out to your car if you need help bringing your Mac in. We do recommend scheduling an appointment for iPhone repairs, it just makes sure we can work with you while you wait.
Gather your information
If you bought from somewhere other than TenPlus and still have your sales receipt, bring it with you. You might also need your Apple ID password and a form of personal identification, such as a driver’s license, passport, or other government-issued ID.
You should know the name and password of your macOS user account, in case you need to log in to your Mac at the service location. And if you're also using a firmware password, please turn it off before you get service.
Gather your products
Bring your Mac, power cable, and any accessories that you need help with.
That's it! You are now ready to wall-in and have the best Apple repair experience anywhere!
We look forward to helping you resolve any issues you have with your Apple product.
