The SF Underground Market
It's on! We found a HUGE space for the next market, so hopefully no lines this time, but it's still a good idea to get there early:
SomArts, 934 Brannan St., SF (between 8th/9th)
Friday, April 16th. from 5-11pm
We've got tons of new vendors this time, including mmm butter ( hand churned bacon butter), Ben L. (American Kobe beef brisket), Genny M. (homemade mustard), as well as about 30 more (and thats on top of all the vendors we've had before). Music by Debbie Neigher and others. Should be a great time
We're also going to have a few workshops:
7 pm pm Seed Saving with Antonio Roman-Alcala
8 pm Home Made Sourdough with Danny from Sour Flour
9 pm Easy Home Brewing with Galen Krumel
In order to enter the market, we're going to ask everyone to sign up for a free membership to the SF Underground Market. Don't worry, it's just a formality. If you've signed up in the past, no need to re-apply.
To sell at a farmers market, you need to produce your wares in a commercial kitchen. This is an impossible expense for many of us, so The Underground Market is about helping to get some exposure for all of our fellow producers without the cash for a commercial kitchen.
These are veterans, people who've been making their products for years, but only able to share them with friends. We thought we'd give them a venue to share with the whole SF food community. A market, and a live show, all rolled into one.
Think a farmers market, but at night, with music and drinks.
Come Early, Stay Late!
