Gratitude for Community

I hope you are all doing well and staying cool during the heat waves of this very warm summer. My wish for each of you includes both rest and adventure during this season of vacations – and enjoyable time with friends and family. As for me, I have been enjoying the slower pace of summer, the outdoor activities and gatherings with friends, and the time to relax with family.
Today, I feel incredibly grateful for community. The Resiliency Center hosted the second part of the EMDR Basic Training for twelve wonderful clinicians this month. We also welcomed Wendy Sunderlin, Counselor and Life Coach, and Joel Edelman, Nutritionist, to our community of practitioners at the center. As our networking events continue to be well attended, it is rewarding to see new connections being made and relationships deepening. When we work together and support one another, the positive possibilities are endless. I am thankful to each of you for being a part of our community.
This issue of our Resiliency Center newsletter for helping professionals includes an introduction to Christina Talucci, a warm and skilled member of our community. I have also included links to information about laughter yoga, a special offer for those interested in practice-building, an excerpt from a recent post in my Resilient Helpers Blog, and information about networking opportunities.
If you would like to be featured as a practitioner in future newsletters or have a program or service to announce, please email me at Elizabeth@elizabethvenart.com. I’d love to share your information.
Wishing you peace, joy, and prosperity,
Elizabeth
Free & Half-Price Consultations to Grow your Practice
If you have been considering attending one of my practice-building workshops or beginning individual consultation but haven’t yet acted on it, this offer is for you. This month, I am offering a FREE 45-minute individual consultation to the first three people who respond to this offer. If you have already attended a workshop or met with me individually, I am happy to offer you 50% off your next consultation whenever you refer a friend – anytime between now and the end of September.
I absolutely LOVE working with therapists and other healthcare and healing arts practitioners to grow their practices. There are so many talented professionals out there whose practices just aren’t as busy as they could be, and I love being a part of the solution. Through consultation work, practitioners identify what they love and find meaningful in the work, create a vision for growing their practice that focuses on this passion, and begin taking active steps to take them from where they are to where they want to be.

In July, The Resiliency Center hosted the second half of the EMDR Basic Training with trainer Barb Maiberger (from Boulder, Colorado) and twelve dedicated and caring clinicians. As a Certified EMDR therapist, I was honored to participate in the training as a consultant and to offer support and guidance to the therapists learning this new modality. Over these three days, I felt inspired by the courage I witnessed in our practitioner community. A large part of the EMDR training is experiential, as therapists authentically engage from the roles of both counselor and client. Bearing witness to the risks taken by the community of clinicians in the EMDR training was deeply gratifying, as I saw tremendous openness, compassion, and health among this amazing group of practitioners. Allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is rarely easy. > Read More
