The Resiliency Center: Your Place for Healing, Education & Community in Ambler, PA
Encore Careers with Marc S. Jacobs, Career and Business Coach
The concept of Encore Careers was primarily addressed by Marc Freedman in his 2007 book Encore, Finding Work that Matters in the Second Half of Life. It offers persons 45 and above hope and a support system for finding new (Encore) careers that are more fulfilling than their current careers. Freedman focuses on finding careers in the community good, such as health care, education, social service and green jobs. In his career counseling practice Marc Jacobs has worked with numerous clients to expand the concept to also include those who wish to start their own businesses or find retraining in an area of personal interest and passion.

Mr. Jacobs’ training and experience in many aspects of businesses including marketing, management and business planning provides a wealth of information for Encore Career Seekers to tap. His experience in a variety of personal development programs augments these skills with the understanding and foundation from which clients can venture forth on their journeys. Marc offers individual career and business coaching for all levels of career change and business growth.

On July 13, he will be leading the first in a series of workshops, “Encore Careers 45+ ReInventing Yourself.”
For more information on Marc's work or to register for the workshop, please contact him directly at MJacobs296@gmail.com or 215-280-1675.

Featured Practitioners & Resources for Healing
Each month we introduce a practitioner and provide information about their specific approach – so that you can learn more about the resources available for yourself and your clients. The practitioners featured may be someone in the counseling field or an allied professional. If you are interested in being featured in our monthly newsletter, please send a short profile, along with your interests, areas of specialization, and contact information, to Elizabeth Venart, Resiliency Center Director, at evenart@comcast.net.

Professional Networking Breakfasts
Wednesday, 7/7, 9:00 am
Mark your calendar and plan to join us every 1st Wednesday of the month for our free networking breakfasts. They provide a relaxed and enjoyable opportunity to connect with healthcare and healing arts practitioners from a variety of professional backgrounds, to share your expertise and passion for the work, and to make meaningful contacts in growing your practice. To learn more or RSVP for July, go to http://www.meetup.com/amblerwellnessnetworkinggroup/ or call Jeff Katowitz at 215-307-0055.

Join Our Online Community!
While we love connecting in person, our online community forum provides an opportunity to discuss topics and share resources from the convenience of our individual offices or homes – at times that work with each of our schedules.

Join us  and tell us about your practice, discuss what keeps you resilient in the work, and share favorite resources and interesting articles. It is a wonderful way to continue the dialogues begun at the monthly networking breakfasts, to announce new groups and workshops you are offering, and to share news about exciting new ventures in your practice. We look forward to seeing you there!
