The Resiliency Center: Your Place for Healing, Education & Community in Ambler, PA
Encore Careers with Marc S. Jacobs, Career and Business Coach
The concept of Encore Careers was primarily addressed by Marc Freedman in his 2007 book Encore, Finding Work that Matters in the Second Half of Life. It offers persons 45 and above hope and a support system for finding new (Encore) careers that are more fulfilling than their current careers. Freedman focuses on finding careers in the community good, such as health care, education, social service and green jobs. In his career counseling practice Marc Jacobs has worked with numerous clients to expand the concept to also include those who wish to start their own businesses or find retraining in an area of personal interest and passion.

Mr. Jacobs’ training and experience in many aspects of businesses including marketing, management and business planning provides a wealth of information for Encore Career Seekers to tap. His experience in a variety of personal development programs augments these skills with the understanding and foundation from which clients can venture forth on their journeys. Marc offers individual career and business coaching for all levels of career change and business growth.

On July 13, he will be leading the first in a series of workshops, “Encore Careers 45+ ReInventing Yourself.”
For more information on Marc's work or to register for the workshop, please contact him directly at or 215-280-1675.
