The Resiliency Center: Your Place for Healing, Education & Community in Ambler, PA
In This Moment
By Dean Solon

Parker J. Palmer:  “In solitude, we face into our emptiness and find not a vacuum or a void but an inward space full of light, sweet silence, and perhaps even God.”

In a universe of mystery and of surprise, a universe as wild and weird as anything we might ever have imagined, nearly infinitely expanding into near-infinitude, with 99.999% of it empty space occasionally filled with far-separated molten rock core matter, a seeming reality and predicament that our minds can barely open to and open with---here you are, breathing, living, incarnate and embodied…with an infinite inner space mirroring the openness, vastness, spaciousness and expansiveness of outer space.

A universe inside you, of mystery and surprise, a reality and predicament that is as wild and weird as anything anyone (and anyOne) might have imagined. Here you are, breathing, living, incarnate and embodied, in and of a great web of being, in and of a great web of consciousness. A mysterious, surprising, perhaps inexplicable possibility that we call reality. A mysterious, surprising, perhaps inexplicable possibility that we may call opportunity.

In any moment---in THIS moment---you may be alert, you may be aware, you may be awake. In any moment---in THIS moment---you may be totally present. You may be here, now…here, now. There is nothing and no one stopping you.

And if you are feeling badly and sadly, in this moment, because you are not fully present and awake, let go of any shame and blame and deprivation you may be feeling and take heart and be of open heart and of open mind and spirit, to what is a real and true possibility:  enlightenment is never more than a moment away.

Rainer Maria Rilke:  “Be patient toward all that is unresolved in your heart….Try to love the questions themselves….Do not now seek the resolutions, which cannot be given because you would not be able to live them, and the point is to live everything.  Live the questions now.  Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the resolutions.”

And, perhaps, there may be transformation, in a moment. In this moment.

Dean Solon leads group meditations at the Resiliency Center at 8:30 A.M. on Tuesday mornings and at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday evenings.
