Clinical Supervision Groups - Led by Elizabeth Venart, LPC
Clinical supervision groups provide counselors with an opportunity to learn new information, gain additional perspectives, reflect on the interplay between self and client, and receive group support. Participants present cases for clinical review, assist one another in exploring challenging clinical questions, and gain greater self-awareness. Research on vicarious trauma, professional hazards, and counselor wellness has consistently found clinical supervision and peer consultation to be powerful antidotes to the stresses of the work. Groups are held weekly on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 pm and Thursdays from 8:30 am – 10:30 am. To learn more and inquire about joining a group, please call Elizabeth at 215-542-5004 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org

Reiki 1 class now forming
Reiki literally translated means Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that channels/directs energy from the practitioner's hands to the recipient. Benefits may include deep relaxation, stress reduction, a sense of calm and well-being, enhanced sleep, reduction or elimination of pain, and acceleration of the body's natural healing process. Reiki is not meant to diagnose, cure or replace traditional medical care. It is a tool that can complement conventional medicine. Anyone can learn Reiki. Some people learn it to use only on themselves, their friends and family. Others use their training to become professional Reiki practitioners and to treat clients.
The Reiki Level 1 Certification Class is an 8 - 9 hour class. During this class, students receive four attunements to enhance energy flow through hands, learn how Reiki can be used as a complementary therapy, learn and practice the hand positions for self and others, learn how to establish a professional client practice, and receive a manual and certificate of completion. Classes are being taught by Certified Reiki Master/Teacher and Practitioner Natalie James. If you are interested in attending this class, please contact Resiliency Center Director Elizabeth Venart at Elizabeth@theresiliencycenter.com
